Company History

Moonrise was started in 2014 by experience registered nurse and Managing Director
Jessica Gwaringa, to provide domiciliary care and agency staffing in the North East of England.

Jessica’s son Keith, who was only 9 years old at the time, is responsible for coming up
with the name Moonrise.

With a background of nursing and care home management there was no doubt in
Jessica’s mind that Moonrise could be a success if she applied the experience she had
to the company.

Our Team

Since its start in 2014, Moonrise has grown and branched out with us now covering areas in Yorkshire and beyond as well as also now being able to provide Supported Living and Children and Young Peoples Services.

With a close-knit team, Moonrise aims to continue this growth and expansion into the future. The team are ready for the road ahead!

Our Mission

At Moonrise we believe that high quality care and support should be available to all no matter what their needs are.

We aim to achieve excellence through the diversity of the provision for all individuals.

To do this we provide person-centred services, support individuals of all age needs and background.

We form a partnership with individuals and their families along with the wider MDT to involve them in the discussion and decision making process to ensure the best care possible and ensure that all needs are met.

By using regular monitoring and reviewing of the service we can reflect at all times on the care we are providing and have the flexibility to adapt this care and support to the changing needs of a client.
